Kanga and Roo

Kanga is the warm and caring mother of baby kangaroo, Roo. Always protective of her child, she always makes sure he takes his medicine. As the most motherly of all the animals in the Hundred Acre Wood, Kanga adopts Tigger when he arrives, letting him stay with her and Roo, as well as giving motherly advice whenever it is needed.

Roo is a wild young adventurer who wants to go everywhere and try everything. As a young and excitable kangaroo, Kanga is always trying to make sure he is safe and warm by knitting him warm scarves. But, in the end, there’s no place better than being cuddled in his mama’s pouch.

Kanga was first seen in “Winnie the Pooh,” the first of A A Milne’s Pooh books and will feature in Disney’s new Pooh Movie “Winnie the Pooh” in cinemas spring 2011.
