A lovable outcast amongst the other alligators living in the sewers. He enjoys showering which is something the other alligators just don't understand. Unbeknownst to him the other alligators routinely tamper with his plumbing to stop his showers. The player's goal is to get water to Swampy's broken showers so he can indulge in his favourite pastime.
A cute lady Alligator who at first doesn't understand Swampy's human-like quirks. Over time she starts to see him as charming and sweet, the opposite of macho and stubborn Cranky.
The alpha male of all the alligators who live in the sewer. He resents the humans who live above them since he has spent a lifetime dealing with their rubbish. He is disgusted by Swampy's quirks since they remind him of how humans live. He sabotages Swampy's showers out of resentment and bullies him in other story moments.
