Toy Story Woody

Toy Story’s Woody is a cowboy sheriff with a pull-string that, when pulled, proclaims Woody’s signature catchphrases from the 1950s TV show “Woody’s Roundup.” He’s always been Andy’s favourite toy even though he now shares the position with Buzz Lightyear. In the original Toy Story Woody was almost replaced by Buzz and in a fit of jealous pushed him out of Andy’s window. After being outcast by Andy’s other toys Woody goes on a rescue mission after Buzz and ends up Sid’s room, the toy torturer next door neighbour.

In Toy Story 2, Woody is kidnapped by an obsessive toy collector and finds out he is a rare collectable toy. Toy Story Woody meets Jessie the Cowgirl and they, with a few more friends, mount an escape attempt.

By Toy Story 3, Woody remains loyal to Andy, even though his owner is now grown, the loyal sheriff Woody maintains a steadfast belief that Andy still cares about his toys. As the toys venture into their unknown future, Toy Story’s Woody remains the voice of reason. As their dependable leader, he ensures that no toy gets left behind.
