Toon Council's Top Tips

Toontown Major Flippy and the Toon Council have decided to put together the list of most useful tips and clues all around Toontown. Here's what they've come up with.

Set up a Child password Top of page

Only adults can purchase a Toontown subscription. This is to ensure that the credit/debit card with which the subscription is purchased belongs to the registered Disney Member.

When you purchase a subscription you can create a new Disney Membership under your own name or take over your child's by replacing his/her account details your own details.

During that process, you can set up a special child password for your account that lets your child have full access to the game but not the My Account section of the website. Your child will be able to login to play but not be able to make any changes to your billing or mailing information.

Get your FREE ToonClub Magazine Top of page

As a subscriber, you're entitled to receive the ToonClub Magazine at no extra cost to your Toontown subscription!

Update your video card software ("drivers") Top of page

Every computer has a graphics card which displays the graphics on your monitor. Graphics cards use a special type of software called "drivers" and these must be updated every now and then to ensure your card is working at peak performance.

So if the game "freezes" quite often, or you get kicked out frequently, the first thing to try is to upgrade to the latest driver software, which can be downloaded from the website of your video card's manufacturer.

Find out more about graphics cards or visit our graphics drivers links page.

Clear your computer's memory ("RAM") Top of page

RAM stands for Random Access Memory. It's used to run the programs you have installed, including Toontown.

Toontown needs at least 128 MB (megabytes) of RAM, but 256MB is recommended.

By closing other programs before playing Toontown, you will free up more RAM for the game. Closing programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Windows Messenger and others will free up memory for use by the game significantly.
