We are aware of a few bugs and issues of our website. We are working hard to fix these and we are sorry for any inconvenience caused.
If you experience any problems with the website, please check if it is listed here. If you think you have discovered a new issue, please

Please do not contact us repeatedly about the same issue - that will not help us to respond to you sooner. We will respond to every message received. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
- My credit card expired and you failed to charge me - so I have updated my card details but I still can't get into the game
If we fail to charge your card when your subscription fee payment is due, our system attempts to do it repeatedly for a few days, but after several failed attempts it stops trying. If you updated your card details after we stopped trying to charge you, we won't automatically try to charge your new card. In this case please
contact us and we will help you.
- I am advised to visit the US website of Toontown but I prefer this one
If you are a North American resident, you should register on and play Toontown via the American Toontown website - so that you can participate in the local community events, competitions, etc. and you are entitled to your membership benefits. This European website focuses largely on the British players and unfortunately we can send the Welcome Pack and ToonClub magazines to European residents only.
If we mistakenly guessed your country of residence, click the button
I wish to use the UK site, don't ask me again and we'll remember your preferred location.
Known issues of the Toontown game client
- Random video graphics problems
If you see many polygons being drawn in completely random places turning Toontown into an inscrutable collage, it is likely there is a problem with your graphics card or its driver. For detailed information on how to resolve this, please consult our
Graphics help page.
- Black screen instead of login screen
We are investigating reports of a Toontown startup problem where only a mouse cursor is displayed over a black screen when you should see the Toontown login screen. We believe this is not a graphics problem but a case of the Toontown program waiting for a message from our servers. If you see this problem and Toontown fails to respond for over a minute, please hit Alt-F4 to exit and immediately submit a bug report via the
Contact Us page. It is possible that simply restarting Toontown at that point will also work. Switching to a less populated district after you log in successfully may reduce the chance of this problem occurring when you restart the game. If this is the case, or if you reboot your PC, install new drivers, uninstall and reinstall Toontown, and that solves the problem, please
contact us and let us know. (Please submit your message in the category
Technical question).
After playing for an extended period you may notice that the hard disk drive is being accessed often ("thrashing"), and the game gets slower and slower. Toontown currently has a problem "leaking" memory, which causes it to use progressively more memory over time, which eventually causes the operating system to 'swap' RAM to disk in an attempt to allocate more. If you experience signs of this, we suggest you exit and restart the game immediately (using Alt-F4 if necessary).
If you have an ATI card, are running Windows 2000 or Windows XP and see a black square instead of a cursor, this is due to an ATI driver problem. If your cursor flickers or flashes on and off as you move it across the screen, this is also a video driver problem. Please download the latest video driver from your card manufacturer. For more information, please refer to our
Graphics help page.
Sometimes you will notice a 'black' background behind items such as the snowflake or things like mist clouds will partially disappear when you get close to them or look at them from certain angles.
In certain locations the viewpoint will bounce back and forth between two positions very quickly, causing an 'earthquake' effect on the screen.
