SAMANTHA MURRAY
(Ensemble)

Born in Yorkshire, Sammy began her career at the age of seven playing in pantomime at the Grand Theatre, Leeds. She then trained at the Royal Ballet School and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

Theatre credits include: The Secretary in The Gallery for Stage One, The Lilac Fairy in Sleeping Beauty, and Dorcas in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers at the Theatre Royal, Plymouth, West Side Story, Pacific Overtures and Carousel at the Haymarket, Leicester, and Babes in the Wood at the Lyceum, Sheffield. Sammy played Tiger Lily and Mrs. Darling in Peter Pan at Lewisham following a National Tour of Me and My Girl playing the part of the maid.

West End credits include: Cavalcade at the Piccadilly, 42nd Street at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, Some Like it Hot at the Prince Edward and Sweet Charity at the Victoria Palace in which she played the part of Frenchy. Recently she returned to the Haymarket Leicester to play Olga in Singing in the Rain.

Television credits include: Jane in Sherlock Holmes for Granada, the Chambermaid in The Bill for Thames, and several episodes of Agony for Live TV. She played a Student in the film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

Sammy performed in the Royal Variety Performances in 1985 and 1986.
