Outsource Manager

Job Overview

Reporting directly to the Art Director, the Outsource Manager plans, co-ordinates and executes on all aspects related to the external development of content for the game. 
The role is a highly responsible one that requires a motivated, self-managing individual with exceptional communication skills and experience of managing all encompassing aspects of a successful Outsourcing process and strategy. 

Responsibilities:

• Manage and develop the strategy for short term and long term plans relating to all aspects of external content creation.
• A strong understanding and proven ability to manage all aspects relating to the processes and best practices for successful outsourcing operations, inclusive of:

- Contracts, Legal, Procurement
- Pilot process and client bidding.
- Due diligence process.
- Strategic OS planning for continued growth.
- Financial and capacity planning.
- Workflows, pipelines and all processes relating to efficient production and content delivery.
- Technical and operational logistics.

• Understanding of the client customer relationship and how best to manage for optimal results.
• Ability to work within budget constraints and plan with financial responsibility.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Deliver high volume externally produced content that meet standards and specifications with respect to quality, cost and timeliness.
• Participate actively in team production planning sessions, feed into and support the production team in their overall plans and requirements.
• Co-ordinate and support technical and logistical requirements for full co-development.
• Support and drive a positive culture that supports external development through delivery of the highest quality content with the minimum of administrative input from the internal team.
• Plan and schedule work in a systematic manner to minimize delays to the project schedule.
• Represent the studio in all aspects of its outsourcing operations both with external clients and internally with Disney and the Outsource management community.

Experience:

• Demonstrate strong and proven ability in the management of all aspects relating to the external development and delivery of outsourced game content.
• Ability to own and deliver strategic plans for continued growth of the studios outsourcing operations. 
• An active interest in the latest developments, future trends, competitive landscape and state of the art within interactive games and related industries.
• Experience of game production techniques, workflows and pipelines as they relate to the production of interactive software development.
• Able to work alone and collaboratively, often with multiple tasks under deadline pressure.

Skills:

• Highly proficient in the following project planning related software or similar: Microsoft Office, Excel, Jira, Word, Hansoft.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail and quality.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and able to communicate clearly and effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
• Open to direction and able to embrace change.
