Network Programmer
Black Rock Studio is currently recruiting for a Senior Network Programmer to join the team who are currently working on an unannounced project.
Key Responsibilities:
Software developer on a next-generation interactive online media experience
Develop web back-end application tier features
Contribute to the development of game systems
Quickly ramp up on new web technologies and frameworks
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary team leadership.
Skills, Experience and Attributes:
A solid understanding of web application design and system architectures
Demonstrated experience with modern web application stacks
Experience developing web services and REST-based communication interfaces
Experience with Apache Web server, Tomcat, Maven and Hudson
Proficiency in C++, C# and Java
Must be comfortable extending existing engines/frameworks and building from the ground up
Knowledge of Unity3D is a big plus
Experience with agile development and deployment methodologies
Strong object-oriented analysis and design skills
Solid communication and team collaboration skills
A self-starter who thrives in a dynamic startup environment
Familiarity with online entertainment communities (social networks, MMOs, etc.)
