Internships

Intern Scheme
August – September 2010

This summer we are running paid two month intern schemes for Programmers and Artists and we are looking for talented individuals to join us.

So, if you are ready for a challenge and want to gain some experience as part of our multi-award winning team, we would like to hear from you.

In return, we offer you a competitive salary, as well as the opportunity to gain insight into your chosen field of study and work on one of our new racing games in a live development environment. Your name will be included in the credits for the game you have worked on.

All interns are assigned a manager, as well as a mentor/buddy to advise, train and develop you in your two months so you leave having gained the best possible insight into a career in videogames at one of the world’s leading racing game studios.

Upon completion of the internship, interns are reviewed and often receive an offer of a job when they finish their exams.

Programmers

You will need a strong academic background in maths and physics and currently be at university, studying for a degree or post grad qualification in Computer Science or a related discipline.  You will need to be able to demonstrate experience in C++ and have good communication skills and lots of enthusiasm.

Artists

You will need a passion for all forms of visual entertainment and an understanding of how best to apply your skills and experience to videogames development. You will need to currently be at university and studying for a degree or post grad qualification in art or a related discipline.

How to apply for our intern programme

Email us a covering letter telling us why you'd like to do your internship at Black Rock Studio, along with your CV. For programmers, ideally we like to see a demo and for artists, we need to see a showreel.
Send your application to jobs@distudios.net

If you have already graduated or you are due to graduate later this year, please look at our Graduates section to find out about any positions we have which may be suitable for you.
