Lightning McQueen

Disney Pixar’s latest offering is set for release in cinemas in 2011 and is a welcome return for the Disney Cars characters of the 2006 hit, Cars. Disney Pixar Cars 2 features a return for race car legend Lightning McQueen and his best friend, tow truck Mater as they take on the new challenge of becoming World Grand Prix champion and the title of the fastest car in the world! Owen Wilson returns to voice the likable Lightning McQueen in the sequel. In the film, Lightning and his Rust-Eze team are tempted from their home base of Radiator Springs to try and win the World Grand Prix, a series of races across the globe to establish just who the fastest race car is. Lightning McQueen, meanwhile, not only has the race series to occupy his mind but the safety of his best friend Mater (voiced by Larry the Cable Guy), who has managed to get himself embroiled in international espionage alongside British car Finn McMissile, voiced by Michael Caine. Can Lightning McQueen not only help his friend stave off the threat of international agents but also remain focused on the World Grand Prix to become the fastest car in the world?
