PETER STANFORD
(Ensembleu/s Cogsworth & Monsieur D'Arque)

In a varied career, both at home and abroad, Peter's one love has always been musical theatre. This work includes They're Playing Our Song (Alexandra Theatre, Birmingham); My Fair Lady, a national tour of The Rocky Horror Show and the European preméres of Sondheim's Anyone Can Whistle and Pacific Overtures (Everyman Cheltenham and Forum Manchester), together with several productions of Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, including one at The Queen Elizabeth Stadium, Hong Kong; Applause (Forum Manchester) and further tours of Fiddler On The Roof and The Wind In The Willows.

Peter made his West End debut in Bernstein's West Side Story (Her Majesty's London). He has performed with The Stephen Hill Singers on "Friday Night Is Music Night" for BBC Radio, and can be heard as both Mr Happy and Mr Shy on the Mr Men single Home For Christmas.

Television appearances include: The South Bank Show - (LWT); In The Pink - Channel 4, (as both a performer and co-writer) and "The Oscar Wilde Centenary" - BBC 2, together with numerous TV commercials.

Peter is delighted to be returning to the West End to appear in Disney's award winning production of Beauty and the Beast and would like to dedicate his performance to both his partner Chris, and to the memory of his mother, Molly.
