Recent design credits include The Canterbury Tales, "Great Expectations", "The Radley Lakeside Proms", and UK and German tours of The Rocky Horror Show. As Associate Lighting Designer or Production Electrician, West End productions include Bugsy Malone, 42nd Street, My Fair Lady (London and Toronto), Les Miserables, Guys and Dolls (London and Australia), Kiss Me Kate, Follies, Song and Dance (London and European tour), Aspects of Love, Anything Goes, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (UK and Germany), Carmen Jones (UK and Japanese tours). Trade shows and conferences have taken him all over Europe, Japan and to the Bahamas.

In 1992 Michael spent 13 weeks in Disneyland Paris as Associate Lighting Designer on Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show. In the capacity of Associate Lighting Designer he has re-lit eight worldwide productions of The Phantom of the Opera, most recently in Basel and Edinburgh.
